Our student Hamza Temiz's success has made us proud.

Professor Dr. Ömer Çalışkan, the Director of Bafra Vocational School, congratulated 18-year-old student Hamza Temiz for successfully representing Ondokuz Mayıs University and Bafra at the Inter-University Wrestling Turkish Championship hosted by Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University.

In his statement, Professor Dr. Ömer Çalışkan said, “In such an important event held between March 28th and April 1st, with the participation of 606 athletes from 63 universities, our student Hamza Temiz's advancement to the quarterfinals in the 87 kg category by defeating three opponents with different scores has made us extremely pleased. The determination, discipline, and fighting spirit shown by our student is a source of pride for our vocational school.”

Çalışkan stated, “As Bafra Vocational School, we place great importance on our students developing themselves not only academically but also in sports and social areas. Hamza Temiz's successful performance in the championship is a concrete example of this understanding. His dedication, despite his young age, has delighted us both for our university and for Bafra.”

Emphasizing that the achievements of Bafra's young athletes hold special value for the district, Çalışkan continued, “The performance shown by our student Hamza Temiz is a source of pride for Bafra. It is extremely valuable for us that our young people, who have been trained at the local level, showcase themselves in national organizations.”

It was noted that Hamza Temiz aims to represent both Bafra and Ondokuz Mayıs University in the best possible way by continuing his training even more intensively in the future. It was stated that the successful athlete Hamza Temiz will resolutely continue his preparations to achieve significant results in upcoming championships by increasing his training tempo.
